About Us

The School & Community Network is a strategic intermediary organization that builds solid partnerships between the community and School District of Lancaster schools that  benefit its children and families by brokering and aligning programs and services, and promoting the quality standards and accountability goals of full-service Community Schools.

Promoting genuine collaborative work to address systems change, SCN helps to foster an environment in which the optimal Conditions for Learning and Living are met. SCN provides training and technical support services to District administrators and staff, community cultural, health and human service organizations, as well as public safety and municipal officials. These partners recognize that the systemic investment in all of today's youth benefits the health, well-being and long-term of the productivity community.

In addition, SCN participates in local, state and national coalitions designed to build broad public support and new constituencies for Community Schools.  As a result there is a growing interest in- and spotlight on- the growth of Community Schools in Lancaster.
